The Planning Committee
Ray Bethell’s passion and love for the sport of kiting has been an inspiration to many people worldwide. Please join this grass roots movement to create a banner tribute in honour of Ray to be displayed at the Washington State International Kite Festival August 19 – 25, 2013. The plan is to set up the array of banners from Thursday to Saturday. The exact location on the beach is still to be decided.
This is not a competition, but a tribute. There are no rules. Big or small, it doesn’t matter. Just make something special for a true gentleman and let’s fill the beach with some wonderful surprises.
Ray is aware of our idea. He is honoured to be thought of in such a way by his peers. Let’s show him what we all can do!
A Facebook page Banner Tribute for Ray Bethell has been launched and is open to the public. For those who would like to create something for Ray but won’t be able to attend WSKIF, please feel free to message me at email@example.com.
Get your “idea” hats on and your sewing machines going. Time will pass by quickly. Please spread the word and encourage others to participate in any way they can.
See you at WSKIF 2013
Just a reminder, the first fun fly of the new year is January 1st 2013 at Garry Point Park in Richmond. While we may not have sunny skies, at least we can hope for dry ones! Hope to see many of you there. The Executive
